Writing is first a struggle with words, then an abuse of language. writing has many levels, it goes from expressing ego, to fulfilling desires, to connecting with the absolute, with logos, with the metaphysical. As an author I surmount my struggle, my desires, my biological needs to connect with the ultimate spiritual life.

We celebrating another International Women’s Day (IWD), honoring and presenting respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements, and for the change they are bringing in their societies. However what did the world offer to women over time and especially now where she is foundation stone in society and work hard to support her family. Did we appreciate her sacrifices in peace and war, her struggle as a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a human being.
It’s not easy to be a woman in societies where she is underestimate, bad treated, rapped, beaten up, still suffering from sexual assault, and unfair revenue. Until now the discrimination toward women is still practiced in modern and traditional societies as well.
Nevertheless I stop here to honor women in the world, support them, and ask them to keep up with their great contributions in making up balance in family and society. One of the big issue women are still facing is the literacy injustice where 493 million women still can’t read, and cultural based discrimination because of taboo and misinformed traditions which results in women being excluded from the workforce. Only 50% of women in the world are able to work .
According to UNESCO data we retrieve these numbers which are alarming.
- Today, nearly 17% of the world’s adult population is still not literate; two-thirds of them women, making gender equality even harder to achieve.
- The scale of illiteracy among youth also represents an enormous challenge; an estimated 122 million youth globally are illiterate, of which young women represent 60.7%.
- The 67.4 million children who are out of school are likely to encounter great difficulties in the future, as deficient or non-existent basic education is the root cause of illiteracy.
- With some 775 million adults lacking minimum literacy skills, literacy for all thus remains elusive.
I conclude that woman is a keystone of family and society and should be the governments focus, her literacy and social injustice affect others likewise kids and youth literacy as she is part of their lives.
