Saturday Ride

It’s Saturday, no alarm clock set, no rush to get to your job. Just get to the shower and get ready to hit the road. Away from daily problem: traffic congestion and rush hours. Indeed the nation’s roads and highway systems are being crushed as Americans flock to urban areas for economic and social opportunities. Traffic on some highways has increased over 25% with a cost of $124 billion a year, plus the unquantifiable impact on quality of life.

Clinton Foundation Donor Mylan

images

Very hot subject raised by the media about the Clinton foundation donor the pharmaceutic company Mylan . As we read in the New York Post that the pharmaceutical company under fire for increasing the cost of its life-saving EpiPen.

“Over the last several years, Mylan Pharmaceuticals has increased the price of EpiPens by more than 400%. They’re now charging up to $600 for a two-EpiPen set that must be replaced every 12-18 months. This both increases out-of-pocket costs for families and first responders, and contributes to higher premiums for all Americans and their employers,” Clinton said in a statement released to reporters by her campaign.

Indeed Hillary Clinton has criticized Mylan despite the fact that the manufacturer donated to the Clinton Foundation. Records available on the website of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation reveal Mylan, the company that manufactures the EpiPen, has donated up to $250,000. The raise of this subject has pushed her opponent nominee  Donald Trump to raise questions about the connections between Hillary state department using her power for the benefits of the Clinton Foundation.

Under a highlighted bold title article written by in Associated Press, Many donors to Clinton Foundation met with Hillary at State. They state that more than half the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money – either personally or through companies or groups – to the Clinton Foundation. It’s an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics challenges if elected president.

At least 85 of 154 people from private interests who met or had phone conversations scheduled with Clinton while she led the State Department donated to her family charity or pledged commitments to its international programs, according to a review of State Department calendars released so far to The Associated Press. Combined, the 85 donors contributed as much as $156 million. At least 40 donated more than $100,000 each, and 20 gave more than $1 million.

and from that raised many questions about the relationship between the secretary of state and the Clinton Foundation. “Clinton said the AP had only “looked at a small portion of my time” as secretary of state and had drawn the conclusion that her meetings with Nobel laureates – such as Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel – were connected to the foundation rather than their work as global leaders. “That is absurd,” Hillary Clinton told CNN as she described these raising stories and questions,  “all smoke, no fire.”

The meetings between the Democratic presidential nominee and foundation donors do not appear to violate legal agreements Clinton and former president Bill Clinton signed before she joined the State Department in 2009. But the frequency of the overlaps shows the intermingling of access and donations, and fuels perceptions that giving the foundation money was a price of admission for face time with Clinton. Her calendars and emails released as recently as this week describe scores of contacts she and her top aides had with foundation donors.

Recycling in some areas in Harrisburg

When you move to new build complex in a nice area of Hanover Town and you don’t find recycling service then you have to do it on your own. If you were one of those concern about environment issues.  Anyway even not concern you’ll be affected by this matter. However since the city of Harrisburg has not yet generalized the recycling service, the only option is to take it to a recycling center.

Moreover the recycling issue is now the most notable of the changes, the city will no longer recycle glass for residents. Residents will need to throw away their glass or recycle it themselves at the Uptown Plaza or Dauphin County’s drop off sites.

The city excluded glass because it breaks during the recycling process, if not before, and contaminates the other recyclables. Glass also needs to be recycled by color, which is difficult when it’s broken into tiny pieces, said John Rarig, the city’s recycling coordinator.

“It costs more than its worth,” he said.
